Who

JOY Dogs has been serving the educational sector since 2011. It has been our mission to educate learners about responsible pet ownership and safety around dogs. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to teach children from young so that they grow up to be responsible pet owners.

How

We then responded to a need of visiting institutions for the therapeutic and caring aspect that the dogs bring. We visit physically and mentally challenged people in institutions and aged facilities. This is now our primary focus.

Why

By popular demand we started the wellness division of the JOY dogs in the second half of 2013. The JOY Dogs will now come to your business to entertain your staff leaving them feeling much more motivated.

Sue Green : Sue has always had a special interest in dogs and has been involved in dog handling and training for 25 years. She has assisted in running support groups together with a psychologist and social worker, focusing on helping people with personality disorders and psychological problems. The JOY Dogs : They belong to the breed Old English Sheepdogs. Jazmine passed away in December 2019 at the age of 12 and Oscar passed away at 9 and a half in 2018 and was from Belgium; Yola is 11 years old and comes from Hungary. New addition in July 2018 is Orion from Russia. He is now 6 years old. We are so pleased to announce the arrival of Jade - the new ‘J’ in JOY Dogs. She was born in Bronkhorstspruit in October. Jade came to live with Sue, Orion and Yola in December 2020. We are based in Glenvista, Johannesburg.
